Caitlyn Lamdin is the Director of Operations & Study Abroad at OneWorld Now, a Seattle-based international education nonprofit that offers inclusive and accessible world language instruction, leadership development, and study abroad opportunities for high school aged youth.

Caitlyn is a professional member of Diversity Abroad Global, Global Access Pipeline, Gap Year Association (GYA), and Cornerstone Safety Group and sits on GYA’s Standards & Accreditation Committee and Immersed Global’s Advisory Council.

 

Prior to joining OneWord Now, Caitlyn served for three years as a Teach for America Corps Member in Greenville, Mississippi, where she taught high school French and founded Greenville Goes Global (GGG), a program to expand access to education abroad for students in the Mississippi Delta.

Caitlyn has led youth programs abroad in France, Iceland, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, South Korea, and Taiwan. Her personal education abroad experience includes studying Arabic in Morocco through AMIDEAST and the Arabic Language Institute in Fez (ALIF), interning with AMIDEAST Tunisia, studying French at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, and teaching secondary French in Ghana. A lifelong language learner, she has studied French, Arabic, Spanish, German, Russian, Korean, and Mandarin Chinese.

Caitlyn holds an M.A. in International Education Management and a Certificate in International Development and Social Change from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, B.A.’s in Religion and Africana Studies from Vassar College, and a Certificate in Diversity & Inclusion in International Education from Diversity Abroad.

A Vermont native, Caitlyn currently lives in Madison, WI with her husband and 16 lb cat, Ian. She spends most of her free time dancing, producing community arts performances, and enjoying the outdoors.

As an advisor, Caitlyn offers Immersed Global strategic insight on program development, global partnerships, and inclusive travel opportunities. With a strong belief in equity and access, Caitlyn’s work aligns seamlessly with Immersed Global’s mission to provide culturally immersive learning experiences for underserved communities. Her experience positions her as a critical voice in ensuring the organization’s programs are both transformative and accessible.
