A Decade of Global Impact

For more than ten years, Immersed Global and Madame Armant’s Immersion Cities have created world-expanding opportunities for students across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Maryland. What began as Makeva’s passion for language education has grown into a movement serving thousands of children, families, and communities through language, culture, travel, and leadership.

Impact at a Glance:

Over the span of 10+ years, we’ve:

• Taught 1,000+ students French across Mississippi, Louisiana, and Maryland

• Taught 200+ students Spanish in Maryland

• Tutored 100+ university students in French & Spanish

• Placed world language teachers in:

  • 1 elementary school

  • 1 middle school

  • 2 high schools

  • 1 university

• Led student trips to 4 World Language Festivals and 2 French Quarter cultural tours

• Led 15 students to study abroad in Paris, France

• Hosted 3 international awareness festivals and 2 international health fairs

• Organized 3 community cleanup challenges in Louisiana & Maryland

• Hosted/led 5+ community-involvement seminars

• Co-hosted the 2018 Baton Rouge Black Business Expo

These experiences have strengthened cultural competence, global awareness, leadership, and academic engagement across hundreds of households.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

French and Spanish classes in schools, after-school programs, university tutoring, and family learning initiatives.

● Global Travel Access

Study abroad, leadership coaching, and immersive travel opportunities for teens.

● Community Leadership & Service

Clean-up challenges, health fairs, and community events rooted in cultural pride and global awareness.

● Immersion Camps (Launching 2026)

Our new 3-step journey—Pre-Camp Learning → Camp Immersed → Post-Camp Cultural Series—expands access to language immersion and cross-cultural education for children ages 6–11.
