Nick Pozek, Ed.D., is an educator, mediator, and strategist with extensive experience leading
ambitious projects and cross-disciplinary teams. His research has been featured in reports published by UNESCO and the United Nations Office for Disaster and Risk Reduction, and has
delivered lectures at esteemed international intuitions including Jagiellonian University,
Ateneo de Manila University, Meridian International Center, McMaster University, and the University of Dhaka.

 

In his role as Assistant Director of the Parker School of Foreign & Comparative Law at Columbia University, Nick conceptualizes and organizes conferences, symposia, lecture series, research projects, and events about geopolitics, international law, and globalization. He also holds a joint appointment in the Hong Yen Chang Center on Chinese Legal Studies and the Center for Japanese Legal Studies. Nick is president of the Greater New York chapter of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR-GNY), a member of the Committee for Intellectual Property of the College Art Association, and vice chair of the Board of Trustees of Global Community Charter School—an International Baccalaureate school in New York’s Harlem neighborhood. He serves on the advisory boards of educational organizations, including Actionable Innovations Global and the Global Studies Research Network.

 

Nick received his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University, following his completion of his BFA and MAM degrees at Carnegie Mellon University. He also holds graduate certificates from Berkeley Law (Chinese Intellectual Property Law), the Thomas R. Kline School of Law (Paralegal Studies), the Gabelli School of Business (Nonprofit Leadership), and New York University (Mandarin Chinese). Nick is a BDO Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional.  Among his many affiliations, Nick is an active member of the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS), the United Nations Association (UNA), the American Bar Association Section on International Law, the Global Alliance for Justice Education, and the Association for Asian Studies.

 

Today, Dr. Nick Pozek lends his expertise in global education, conflict resolution, and organizational strategy to Immersed Global’s advisory efforts. As a board member, he provides valuable insight on cultural governance, international programming, and nonprofit leadership—helping to shape immersive experiences that connect youth and families to the world through education, equity, and cross-cultural understanding.
